I was born on  November 24, 1980. Since childhood, this Sagittarian became enamored with colored pencils and marked the beginning of my interests in art.   My childhood paintings were noted by others and resulted in my parents seeking training for me under the watchful and skilled eye of Mehrangiz Rahnamaii when I was 12.   Each summer, I traveled 50 km each week between my home and downtown Tehran.  During the academic year, I could not attend additional training because I was busy with school.  Over ten years of training with Ms. Rahnamaii, I learned the fundamentals of drawing, and painting with charcoal,  colored pencils, watercolors, acrylics and oils.  I received continual feedback and crafted my career and talent through external critique from others.   

I have been featured in two individual exhibitions and one group show in 2000, 2001 and 2003.  I am once again honored to be showing my art at an individual exhibition in December 2007.  I have also been invited to be a member of Institute for Promotion of Visual Arts. 

I matriculated into one of the finest Iranian universities located in Tehran when I was 17.  I ultimately received a Bachelors in Science in Polymer Engineering.  My enthusiasm and interest in art never left my interests.  Indeed, my final project at university was to investigate the modification of natural fibers that important applications for constructing artists' brushes.   Ultimately, I received a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering and have not lost my love for painting.  I have learned to balance both my artistic and scientific talents.
